Best Ramen in Warsaw

(1m 30s read)
It's time to grow up, no more cheap instant noodles. We need to mature our culinary standards. Let me introduce you to the best place in Poland to enjoy the beloved Asian classic, ramen
.

Not even a 10-minute walk from Warsaw University of Technology, Arigator Ramen Shop is turning high-quality ramen into a science. With a delicious array of options to choose from, it's clear to see these kitchen technicians have mastered this famous Japanese dish.

I must warn you: unless you know what you're looking for, you might walk right past this treasure. Don't let the size fool you though, this tiny restaurant packs a flavorful punch!

In my trips to Arigator, I have devoured the Tantanmen Classic enough to know it will forever be my go-to. The mildly spicy pork broth is unlike anything I've ever had. The Shoya mushroom is also delicious, and its kakuni pork belly will melt in your mouth.

Served in a neat Japanese-style kettle, I'd recommend drinking the classic green tea. The jasmine tea was a bit much for me, so my preference is regular green. If you prefer a more "adult" beverage, Arigator has a number of Asian beers to choose from.

Prices are moderate with drinks being around 15pln ($4 USD) and main dishes at ~40pln ($10 USD).

With a dining room that fits around 20 people, it is not uncommon to see a line waiting outside. If you're thinking about getting Arigator to-go, I recommend dining in. When exploring the takeaway option, the knowledgeable staff advised against it. They said their dishes are best when enjoyed onsite. I appreciated this transparency as it shows their commitment to serving quality over selling quantity. Trust me, the wait will be worth it. With a tight-knit atmosphere & exceptional dishes, Arigator has become one restaurant that you must try!

My thoughts: When I think of cuisines I enjoy, Asian is not towards the top, but Arigator may have changed that. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is super cool, and the prices aren't astronomical. If you're tall like me, opt to sit at either the windows or my choice, the bar facing the kitchen. It is a... "cozy" place, but I can promise you won't be disappointed.
