Hallgrímskirkja

Perhaps the most iconic structure in all of Iceland is Hallgrímskirkja. This magnificent piece of architecture is the tallest church in the entire country and it's presence is almost overwhelming. Towering over the city of Reykjavik, Hallgrímskirkja is one of the most popular tourist destinations around, and the views from the top are absolutely breathtaking...

Now the pictures never seem to do a place justice, but Iceland was one of the most photogenic countries I have ever been to, so the views were consistently mind blowing.

After waiting and waiting in line to go up to the top (don't worry, it's an elevator ride), the wait was well worth it as you can see.

Not bad when you consider all we did was...
